On 26 August 2014 at the Marshal Office of the Mazovian Voivodeship, the Company’s Executive Officers and the representatives of NEWAG Company signed the Rolling Stock Delivery Contract Agreement in the presence of Marshal Adam Struzik. There are good news for the passengers of the Warsaw Commuter Rail (WKD). Within the two coming years the Company, the major shareholder of which is the Regional Government of the Mazovian Voivodeship, will purchase 6 modern electric traction units co-financed within the framework of the Swiss-Polish Co-operation Programme.

The tender documents verified and modified by the Intermediate Body shall be transferred then to the Swiss party to perform their final review. The announcement of procedures for awarding public order for the construction of the System will take place once the approval by the Swiss party is obtained. The planned date to start the tender procedure is the end of the first quarter of 2014.

Launching the tender procedure equal to publishing the announcement of the order in the Supplement  to the Journal of European Union, on 29.11.2013, under the number 2013/S 232-402343, was possible by the power of the notice for publication sent on 27.11.2013 according to the Directive 2004/18/EC. The deadline for filing offers is calculated from the day of sending the notice for publication, i.e. 60 working days and it expires on 25.02.2014 at 10:00. The date of opening offers is fixed on 25.02.2014, at 10:30.
